And..... I'm back! We made it to Canada and are settling into our new home. I have spent the better part of the last 5 days unpacking, while the TV babysat my 3 year old.
Our drive up from Houston was long, but we got to see parts of the country we never had before, and maybe never would have, if it weren't for this move. Keep reading for highlights from our trip to "The (not as) Great (as America) White North"...
October 18, 2011: Houston, TX - Ft. Worth, TX
The movers were at our apartment bright and early Monday (10/17) morning to pack, and Tuesday (10/18) morning to load.
(Notice: It was still SUMMER in Houston when we left)
By the time they finished and we cleaned up, it was already afternoon, so we decided that Steve's dad's house in Ft. Worth would be a good place for us stop for the night. Its a 4.5 hour drive, which is nothing compared to what we drove in the following days, but it is one we have done many times, so its not very exciting anymore.

(S watched Tangled 3 times and Kahlua slept)
(Get me out of here!!!)
Things we learned today:
1. Bath and Body Works discontinued its Cucumber Melon scent - thanks to Opie and Anthony's "Jocktober" for hours of entertainment on this subject
2. Steve will lose in a freestyle rap battle - although his one about Waxahachie, TX was rather amusing
3. Steve dislikes all professional sports teams from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area - with a burning passion. And, after their football and baseball performances this past week, I think most would agree
4. A Jeep is much harder to pack than a half-ton truck - trust me!
